Freelance writer, developmental editor, proofreader, indexer, and training materials developer

Thank you for visiting

I am a freelance writer, editor, proofreader, indexer, and training materials developer. During my many years in the editorial field, I have worked primarily for established publishing companies, servicing their freelance needs on potential acquisitions, developmental  editing, project managing, proofreading, reference and  resource checking, and indexing. I offer in-depth, proactive critical evaluation of new material and traditional accurate assistance on ongoing projects. Most recently I was an editor for Gibbs Smith where I worked intimately with published authors from the signing of their contracts through the reprinting of their books. The books I have edited cover a wide range of subject matter (see recent projects below).

I also work with independent writers and authors to help them prepare their works for publication. I’ve assisted authors with biographies and works of fiction and nonfiction. I’ve written and edited sales and marketing copy, catalog copy, newsletters, and Web content.  I have also written many training and educational materials from tests to teacher’s guides to training manuals. Please check out my resume below for a short list of clients.

If you are in need of any of the services which I offer, please contact me at My prices are reasonable.

I write to be read. I edit to be right.
